Srimangal is best known for Tea tree.And also well-known hot beverage in Bangladesh. Romesh Ram Gour invented the seven-layer tea after discovering that different tea leaves have different densities.Each layer contrasts in color and taste, ranging from syrupy sweet to spicy clove. The result is an alternating dark/light band pattern throughout the drink, giving the tea its name. The seven-color tea is available in the Nilkantha Tea Cabin, a tea shop in Srimongol, Moulvibazar

Lawachara rain forest is located at kamalganj of moulvibazar district in Bangladesh. Lawachara is about 160 km (99 mi) northeast of dhaka and 60 km (37 mi) from sylhet. It is 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from the town of srimongal. Lawachara rain forest (also known as lawachara national park). This vast forest is a nice location for a day trip (even with family). Also this forest is a heven for the birdwatchers as the forest is rich with plenty of birds (along with flora and fauna). Being near from dhaka it is possible to make a day trip from dhaka if anyone  leaves in early morning.

Things to carry for better visit:

1. Try to carry a bottle of water with you.
2. Try not to be on track and do not go too deep (unless you have gps with you).
3. Do not disturb the natural inhabitants of the forest.
4. Try to visit the forest during winter. Rainy season would be best for scenic beauty but expect plenty of leeches that time.


Tea Gardens:

Sreemangal is known as the tea capital of Bangladesh. It covers an overall are of 450 sq. km. The opulent green tea plantation attracts most tourists. It has overall 163 tea plantations. The tea of highest quality is produced here. You can enjoy the beautiful opulent green tea plantations and refresh our mind. There are walking trails in the hilly areas where you can walk.
A visit to the tea plantation in Sylhet would be the memorable experience for any one. The gardens are relics from the days of the British Raj. The plantations were started by the British and the manager still live in white timber homes as they did in those days. The bungalows stand on huge beautifully maintained lawns and the service and lifestyle is pretty much unchanged.

It is situated in Barlekha Upazila in Moulvibazar District, Sylhet Division.The waterfall is a popular tourist spot in Bangladesh. Big boulders, surrounding forest,and the adjoining streams attracts many tourists for picnic parties and day trips. It is about 350 km far from Dhaka city.
Visitors can visit Madhabkunda either from Sylhet or Moulvibazar by road, or from Kulaura Junction by train. On the way visitors can see the greenish beauty of tea garden, the hills and the zigzag road through the hills. Rubber and lemon plantations form a beautiful landscape.
